Alibaba Cloud offers a “Free Trial” campaign where new users can try 80+ cloud products and services free of charge.
For students (under the “Alibaba Cloud for Students” program) there’s a special benefit: verified students can get a free “Elastic Compute Service (ECS)” instance for one year (1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB disk) in certain regions.
Also, the student program includes free access to training and certification resources via the Alibaba Cloud Academy membership.
The standard free-trial offer (for non-student accounts) states up to 12 months usage for ECS, plus usage credits for other pay-as-you-go products.
Note: Some student-verification benefits appear region- and institution-dependent, and “new user” criteria may apply.
