Codus

Why It Stands Out

Many AI coding tools focus on one agent in one editor window. Codus appears designed for the coordination problem that follows: deciding which tasks should happen next, keeping parallel work separated, and reviewing the results before they reach a human. Its central model is a group of “quadrants,” with each agent using its own window and project copy on a Mac while a higher-level “Brain” routes work between them.

The product is positioned beyond software development. Coding is included with every seat, while SEO, video, research, and support are presented as additional disciplines or modules. That makes the service notable as a workflow system for teams that want one operator—or several team members—to move between technical and knowledge-work tasks without manually stitching every step together.

How It Can Be Used

A development team could assign separate agents to application code, interface work, infrastructure, and documentation. The page also describes browser-based screenshot checks, task routing, testing, and second-agent verification. These features suggest a workflow where agents produce work and another agent checks whether the result matches the brief, rather than allowing the original agent to approve itself.

For non-coding work, the advertised examples include evidence-focused SEO audits, research studies with cited claims, automated video production, and support work that can lead to a software fix. The site also presents an unattended workflow in which a brief can lead through research, product construction, deployment, domains, and billing setup. Those broader claims deserve close evaluation against a visitor’s own process before adoption.

Important Details

Codus is a Mac application available for Apple Silicon and Intel systems. It states that it uses a Claude Code or Codex account the customer already pays for, rather than charging separately for those underlying models. Listed pricing is £99 per seat per month, with modules shown at £99 each and unlimited usage advertised on the page.

Because the software runs commands on the customer’s machine, the download warning is important: users should review the Terms and Privacy Policy and assess what local access is appropriate. The page does not, by itself, establish compatibility with other operating systems, deployment environments, or internal security requirements.

Evaluation Notes

The supplied case study reports a CRM moving from an empty repository to production in seven hours, but that result is presented by the website and should not be treated as independent validation. Visitors should test task reliability, review quality, model-account requirements, data handling, and the cost of adding modules. Codus may be worth investigating for Mac-based teams that value parallel agents and structured verification; teams seeking a conventional cross-platform editor or tightly controlled automation environment may need to compare alternatives carefully.
