Klap

What It Appears to Do

Creators, podcasters, educators, marketers, and social media teams often face the same decision: how can they turn a single long video into enough short-form content for several channels without editing every clip by hand? Klap is designed to address that workflow by converting long videos, podcasts, webinars, and similar speaking-focused content into shorter vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

The service appears to combine automated clip selection with captions, reframing, and publishing tools. Its emphasis is not on detailed manual editing, but on quickly finding usable moments and preparing them for regular social distribution.

How the Experience Is Organized

The workflow starts with either a YouTube link or an uploaded video file. Klap’s AI analyzes the source, identifies topics or moments it considers interesting, and produces multiple short clips. The site suggests that one minute of source video may generate roughly five clips, although the actual output will depend on the content and its suitability for clipping.

Users can then make final adjustments, export in high resolution, and share or schedule clips across supported social channels. The visible page names TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn in connection with publishing and scheduling.

Notable Capabilities

• AI-assisted clip selection: Extracts topics and turns sections of long videos into shorter social clips.
• Automatic vertical reframing: Keeps attention on the relevant subject while adapting footage to platform-friendly layouts, including options such as split-screen and screencast formats.
• Captions and transcription: Generates designed subtitles and supports editing and transcription in 52 listed languages.
• Brand customization: Allows changes to elements such as fonts, colors, logos, and framing.
• Viral-score guidance: Provides an estimate of a clip’s potential performance, which may help prioritize what to publish rather than predict results with certainty.

Where It May Fit

Klap looks most suitable for teams and individuals with a steady library of speech-led content, including interviews, podcasts, training videos, educational material, product reviews, and webinars. It may be less compelling for footage that depends mainly on action, music, or visual storytelling, since the site says its process relies heavily on speech detection.

What to Verify

The page states that visitors can create one video for free and lists a $29 monthly Pro plan. Because pricing and plan limits can change, check the current offer before committing. It is also worth reviewing how much control the editor provides after automatic generation, which platforms are available for direct scheduling in your region, and how accurately the system selects clips from your particular video style.

For anyone comparing AI video repurposing tools, Klap is worth investigating when speed, captions, and cross-platform resizing matter more than hands-on editing control. A free trial can help determine whether its clip selection and reframing match your content before you build it into a larger publishing workflow.
