MyTB AI

What It Appears to Do

Accounting firms, fractional CFOs, and operators managing several related companies may be evaluating whether they need a dedicated bookkeeping workflow rather than another general-purpose accounting system. myTB.ai positions itself as an AI-native platform for turning bank statements, card statements, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents into review-ready books and trial balances.

The central promise is not fully autonomous accounting. Instead, the system handles repetitive categorization, reconciliation, data entry, and selected journal-entry work, while people review exceptions and approve postings. The page specifically states that the AI does not invent accounts and that its actions are logged.

How the Experience Is Organized

The workflow begins with uploading statements or requesting documents from clients. The platform extracts transactions, applies categories from the firm’s chart of accounts, and places uncertain items in a review queue. After approval, entries can be posted in bulk and reconciled against statements. A month-end close process then identifies unfinished work and presents remaining judgment calls before the period is locked.

That structure should be familiar to accounting professionals: automate the mechanical steps, preserve approval points, and keep the close moving from source documents to current financial reports. The visible product walkthrough also shows confidence scores, review, and posting to the general ledger.

Notable Capabilities

• Batch AI categorization for whole statements, with uncertain selections held for review.
• Document-to-journal-entry extraction for items such as loan statements, closing documents, and sales reports, including interest and principal splits.
• Bank reconciliation, inter-entity transfer matching, and a guided AI month-end close.
• Multi-entity access under one login, with the page describing support for LLCs, properties, and holding companies.
• Tax insights and workpapers on the Pro plan, plus real-time P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, and custom reports.
• A client portal and an iPhone upload app that lets clients submit requested documents without creating an account.

Where It May Fit—and What to Verify

myTB.ai appears particularly suited to firms handling recurring, multi-entity bookkeeping where statement processing and month-end coordination consume significant staff time. It may be less suitable as a complete small-business operations suite: the comparison page says invoicing, payroll, and inventory are not its focus.

Before choosing it, prospective users should verify current plan pricing, tax coverage for their jurisdiction, supported imports and exports, user permissions, audit-log detail, and how it connects with existing accounting systems. The client upload app is listed for iPhone and iOS 16.4 or later, so mobile requirements may also matter.

Overall, the evidence presents myTB.ai as a focused bookkeeping and close-management platform with meaningful review controls and multi-entity features. Its strongest case is for accounting teams that want automation without removing approval from the process; buyers needing invoicing, payroll, or inventory should assess complementary tools as well.
